EION Inc. the industry leader in IP software solutions for wired networks and wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) market is pleased to announce that it has established a regional sales office for Asia Pacific region in Hong Kong.
EION’s portable IP software enables scalable, modular IP-based applications in a variety of devices such as routers, switches, PDAs, cell phones, notebooks, Internet-enabled set-top boxes and so-called smart appliances. With EION software, manufacturers can build next-generation network solutions that are faster, more secure and more reliable.
According to a new report from In-stat/MDR, more than 790 million Internet access devices will be shipped in 2006. The report concludes that the smart appliances are expected to grow at the rate 28.2 percent between 2001 and 2006 reinforcing the projected $32 Billion Internet appliances market by 2007 according to Allied Business Intelligence (ABI) report.
